Bishop Flaget is a Pre-Kindergarten - 8th grade school located in the rolling foothills of southern Ohio. At Bishop Flaget, we are proud of our long tradition of strong academics combined with a quality religious education. Bishop Flaget builds on the students’ moral and spiritual foundation that begins at home, providing values for a lifetime.The mission of Bishop Flaget School is to develop the full potential of each student – spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. High academic standards enable our students to continue to meet and exceed the objectives put before them. Our students score above the national and diocesan averages on standardized achievement tests in most areas. Bishop Flaget students also excel when they move to high school, often placing in the top 25% of their graduation class. Distance learning opportunities are available.Each year, Bishop Flaget students excel in many academic competitions, including science fairs, spelling bees, and writing and speaking contests. The school holds two Hands-on Science Days and was recently awarded the "Governor's Award for Excellence in Youth Science Opportunities." We also have a Lego Robotics Team.Bishop Flaget provides daily prayer, religious study, sacramental preparation, monthly All-School and class Masses, and Reconciliation opportunities. We have an on-site chapel and are blessed with the presence of two parish priests.Extra curricular offerings include after school enrichment programs, and class field trips, including extended trips for grades 6-8. Several athletic opportunities are available: Volleyball (7-8), Boys’ & Girls Basketball (4-8), Soccer (5-8), Track (7-8), and Baseball (7-8). Bishop Flaget offers concert band for grades 5-8, music classes at all grade levels, Christmas programs, Spring musicals, and opportunities for private music lessons.
